The nearby town of Ione, home to many horse trainers, has recently completed an indoor arena, open to the public for a small fee. Exterior security cameras in use, part-time owner/caretaker may be on premises. At approximately 500’ elevation, it is well below the snow and frost line. In 2 hours, you can choose to head to Yosemite National Park, San Francisco, Napa Valley, or Lake Tahoe. A short drive east is the historic Sutters Millsite, where the Gold Rush began, and the Jumping Frog festival for Calaveras County, made famous by Mark Twain. Sacramento airport is a little over an hour away. Nearby are the almond orchards for Blue Diamond, and the great wine production at Lodi, Murphys, and Amador County.

Having said all of that, 95% of dog owners do not even need to be told all of the above. Unfortunately, we have had some clueless dog owners so we are now are as upfront as possible with all doggie rules. Other occasional wildlife include deer, ducks, cranes, geese, wild turkeys, pheasants, otters, muskrats. Ducks and cranes are more common. Geese, wild turkeys and pheasants are seasonal. You will occasionally hear coyotes off in the distance at night. ***Spring and summer brings LOTS of wildlife. Especially summer! We have LOTs of birds- we once had a bird specialist randomly come stay with us and tell me all the different types of birds we have here...oh how I wish I would have written them all down. Or perhaps you know about birds and can help me categorize them? :) Fish: We have a 2 acre pond full of bass fish- fish as much as you want we just ask that you catch and release Kids over 12 are Welcome: This is a great property for kids to roam and experience semi ranch life. There is A LOT of water here. The pond is about 2 acres and there is a pool. We trust you know your children and can properly discern if this is the right place for them. :-) Over the years we have had tons of kids stay and enjoy. About us: We are entrepreneurs and live in the main house on the property. We have an office that is 2 miles away and Dori goes there to work a lot. Meredith is at the ranch doing ranch chores more often. We are both originally from cities and enjoy the peace and solitude this property provides. We are more than willing to be friendly and socialize or give you complete privacy. Meredith tries to do all noisy ranch chores during checkout hours :) Things to Know Before You Come: Secluded: We are 20 minutes away from a real grocery store so make sure to stock up before you come. There is gas station 2.5 miles away that has snacks and basic items. We keep tea and coffee and standard kitchen items stocked in the cottage. Connectedness: We have Wifi. Cell service is not very good. (Just a grade above terrible::) You can stand in certain places to get better signals but Wifi is best here for communication. PLEASE NOTE: the Wifi might go out while you are here and it might even take 24 hours to get it fixed- we do not have utility services here like in big city- aka things happen slower here! Update- it could even take 1 week to get fixed as we just had an event occur where the internet was down for an entire week. This seems to happen about once a month. We have guests here pretty much every night so if it does happen while you happen to be here we apologize in advance and we always work to get it up as fast as possible. Sometimes it's things like the olive branches needing to be trimmed out of the way of the beam! Most guests take it in stride and will do other things besides being online, however we have had some guests be very upset about this so we want to just give a heads up that this IS a possibility during your stay :) Ranch Life: The guest house is luxurious but this is a ranch with animals and wildlife and dirt and bugs :) Please bring appropriate attire to fully enjoy the ranch life. Please bring bug spray Seasons: Spring: Lots of green and flowers by June it is usually very warm Summer: July and August are HOT- bring your swimsuit or just relax in the air conditioned cottage and on the back deck. We can't over emphasize hot! AKA you will be in the pool or inside the entire day. It will cool off by 9pm Fall: lots of fall colors and starting to turn green when the first rains come. Cooler weather. Great time for wine tasting! Winter (November to March): A lot of rain and it can be soggy so bring boots. The rain makes the grass green but there are not as many flowers as in the summer. We enjoy a lot of fires in winter (Guest House is fully heated and air-conditioned and has a gas fireplace.) We certainly have all seasons here although it does not snow. We also make our own olive oil. If you are super interested, we can arrange for you to go one ranchette over to see the olive trees, do a tasting and talk to my 85 year old Dad about his trees :-) (he often wins gold at the prestigious Los Angeles International Olive Oil Competition- lol he is very modest so he wouldnt tell you but we will- its a BIG deal as its the #1 competition in the US and the fifth in the world) Tour is $100 per tour and includes a bottle of olive oil.

The G.P. Ranch is located in Valley Springs, CA. The G.P. Ranch consists of two independent homes, the host house and the guest house. The two-story host house on the left and the guest house on the right. The property has a beautiful view of the valley. At the ranch, there are horses, a pig and at times other animals. Adults and children can feed the animals, take walks, ride bikes, fish or visit nearby lakes in the area, etc. Within a relatively short ride, there are many fine wineries and restaurants. There is a beautiful complete golf course about one mile from the ranch. Special party arrangements (5 days before the stay) can be made upon request , to include a 10 person in-door hot tub. Extra charges will apply for the hot tub.

Enjoy a relaxing getaway in the far west edge of Calaveras between the small towns of Clements and Valley Springs, only a few miles from the South Shore of Lake Camanche and other nearby lakes. This spacious 3 bedroom has an open floor plan that makes it a great gathering spot on the inside yet cozy for a day or night of watching movies or playing games. Kitchen comes fully stocked with everything you need to cook and serve. Coffee and Tea are provided as well. Every guest can expect a local bottle of wine and complimentary K-Kups of coffee and hot chocolate and many flavors of tea. There is a large redwood deck out the back doors of the living/dining room area and master bedroom that offers an outdoor living area as well. The fully covered deck wraps around the entire house offering gorgeous views that include breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The outdoor living area is 1500 square feet and fully covered for rain or shine moments. The deck has a few seating areas, one with a fire pit for chilly mornings and nights. There is a large dining table outside with bench seating and a bbq ready with propane and utensils to show off your grilling skills . The master offers a luxurious King bed with skylights above and a door out to the deck. The master bathroom has double sinks, a soaking tub and full size standing shower with a view of the hills. The 2nd bedroom offers a luxurious queen bed in a large bedroom that gives that master like feel as well, there is also a sofa seat that lays into a twin bed for a child or an adult that doesn’t mind being a 3rd wheel. The 2nd bath is directly across the hall with a full size tub and shower combo and double sinks. Our 3rd bedroom offers a bunk bed with a full bed on the bottom and twin bed on top. It is ideal for the young or just young at heart. This room has toys and games for all ages that include LEGO’s, puzzles, action figures and barbies. This room also has a smart tv and DVD player with lots of movies to choose from. At the end of the hall is a bookshelf from adult novels to baby books, and lots of genres for in between. For the kids outside enjoyment there is a redwood playset with a slide and swing with an assortment of toys that include a power wheel, ride on toys and Tonka trucks to dig around with. With it best to stay at “home”, we have you covered to have a fun and memorable time at the Ranch! We have been adding games inside and out that can be played as a group, and we continue to add more! Nearby are Plymouth, Jackson, and Sutter Creek, as well as many wineries, Castle Oaks Golf Course, and Black Chasam Caverns. Our own captain loves Lake Amador, Lake Pardee and Lake Camanche all located here in Ione Captains Cottage is tastefully decorated in a nautical Cape Cod style, that invites peaceful relaxation. It features over 40 award-winning Lodi wineries along with food selections from some of the area's finer restaurants and caterers. Other things to note We have livestock guardian dogs working on our ranch so we do not allow dogs on the property. They are however great with people and love attention. Riverbend is located in Lockeford on the Mokelumne River. This property is on 5 acres with another 5 acre home site adjacent to it. It is surrounded by an Alberino vineyard and lots of wildlife. This cozy two story house has breathtaking views of the river. The 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, living room and kitchen are all located on the first floor. The great room, laundry and 1/2 bath are downstairs. There is a basketball court on the property and if you love the water, you could spend the afternoon floating down the river. Cell service can be spotty, and there is only a Verizon hot spot device at the property. BUT.....With all the nature, beautiful surrounding and the great outdoors to enjoy, you wont even notice the technology detox. :) We also have a on-site groundskeeper/tenant and we live just 10 minutes away, so we will be available to address any issues that may come up in a timely manner

There is queen sofa bed and a daybed with pop up trundle that can be used separately as two singles or together as one king. The fully tiled bath with shower has an on demand endless hot water heater. The kitchen comes with all the basic kitchenware, 4-burner gas range, refrigerator/freezer, microwave and coffee maker. The front of the Casita opens to a huge deck with table for outdoor dining while the back leads to a fenced rose and organic vegetable garden. The Tentrr The Vineyard campsite is is a secluded campsite sitting on the north bank of the Mokelumne River. The site is located on the grounds of Heritage Oaks Winery, in the heart of Lodi Wine Country. It sits on 106 acres of property that has been farmed by the same family for five generations. The campsite is a 550 foot walk from the parking area. The Space: At the camp, you can enjoy access to the water and beach for kayaking and fishing, explore our riperian woodlands, stroll around the vineyards, or just relax. The property is a popular spot for birders, so be sure to bring your binoculars. Nearby, just a ten minute walk from the campsite, our small winery produces a wide variety of red and white wines. Visit the tasting room to sample the products, or explore the entire region where 80 wineries dot the landscape. Restaurants and stores are as close as four miles away in Lockeford or six miles away in Lodi. Additional campsite features include: battery operated lamps, a small propane camp stove for heating water, a Weber grill, briquettes, lighter fluid, a hammock. This is an exclusive Tentrr site. Tentrr offers fully-equipped individual campsites on beautiful private land. This campsite is off-the-grid, offering the chance to relax, unplug, and experience nature! Winery tour and private wine tasting with appetizers. - $45 After getting settled in camp, walk back up to the winery for a tour of the facility and a private tasting with a tray of appetizers. If you enjoy wine, the Lodi region is a great place to get to know. Check the winery’s website for events coinciding with your visit. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry! Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

The charming victorian was built in 1908. The basement has been refinished, but the hand placed foundation rocks are still there. You are within walking distance to the historic Black Bart Restaurant, Gooneys saloon bar and grill, and the Metropolitan. The Calaveras Museum is right across the street from the Black Bart Restuarant. The room is a large private studio below the main house. You have use of the private patio that you enter through to enter your rental.

The cottage features patio tables and chairs in the back yard and two comfortable chairs on the front porch to watch the goings-on in the neighborhood. You will enjoy a comfortable home with two bedrooms furnished with cozy queen beds, ceiling fans, and with a full bathroom with a shower situated between the rooms. There is a comfortable living room equipped with a smart TV where you can sink into the classic and comfortable love seat and chairs while you surf your favorite channels. Welcome to your home away from home! This is a lovely 3bdr, 2 bath country style home with a splash of modernity that is located within short distance to downtown historic Sutter Creek. The fully furnished living spaces are open and inviting and is great for entertainment or relaxation. Enjoy the green pasture from the living and dining room or relax by the pool while taking in the fresh country air. The sunsets are spectacular in the evenings. The kitchen was recently renovated and new hardwood floor was installed throughout the house. The decor and furniture reflects our vision of incorporating new and refurbished materials to create a country living feel. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and private bathroom. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed and the third has two twin beds. There are additional air mattresses to accommodate additional guests. Guest will have access to the entire house, including the pool, except for the garage. We welcome all guests to stay at our place, including family with young children, however, the pool is not gated so we asked that parents exercise great caution and watchful of their children around the pool. We want to make our guests' stay safe and welcoming for all. For guests who loves to cook, our kitchen is fully stocked. Make yourself a home and feel free to use the use the spices, oil, cooking utensil, etc. You're also welcomed to use the grill and we only ask that you to clean up the grill after each usage. The house is located in a quiet and serene neighborhood. Public transportation is limited in Sutter Creek. We recommend renting a car so that you can fully explore the beautiful lakes, rivers, hiking trails, and hidden gems at the foot of the Sierra Foothill or take a day trip to the beautiful Lake Tahoe (about 1.5 hours away) or explore the bountiful wineries in Amador or San Jaoquin valleys. If you're staying on the weekend, check out Jackson Rancheria Casino for their famous seafood buffet. Don't forget to check out Gold Dust Pizza in downtown Sutter Creek. The restaurant has excellent pizza and chicken wings. It is an excellent place to have beer, wine, and pizza all year-round. The backyard is a great place to hang out during the summer and fall because it's located right next to the creek. Don't forget to check out the handful of wine tasting room We don't have lot of do's or don't do's. We simply asks our guest to respect our place and treat their home away from home as if it's their own home. Please take great care of the place by not leaving hot cups, plates, etc. on the table without a coaster. We don't ask for security deposit because we trust that our guests will be responsible. Also, please be respectful to our neighbors by not having loud music or conversations after 10 pm. Due to our City Lic. we are not allowed to have guest park in the street, or in front of other homes. Only in the driveway. Only two cars allowed per reservations. Please note: That if more cars other then two is reported the city will revoke our city lic. Please respect the rule. The City of Sutter Creek also imposes a 10% hospitality tax. For our guest's convenience, washer and dryer are available for stays of 4 days or more. The garden that surrounds the house is planted with heritage roses, herbs, lilacs, grapes, fruit and nut trees. The house is nestled at the end of a private drive in the midst of a quiet neighborhood. We are firm on our policy of a 4-guest limit, and our house is not suitable for hosting large parties. We require a two-night minimum stay and offer significant discounts for a stay of one week or more--as well as discounts for returning guests.

Welcome to our home, located in beautiful Amador County gold country! We have a charming 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom house that was once an original gold mining cabin, walking distance to the well-preserved historic downtown. We also have a detached outbuilding that serves as an office and has a 1/2 bath accessible from the pool area. The fully furnished indoor and outdoor living spaces are perfect for entertainment or relaxation. Enjoy the large recently remodeled backyard complete with swimming pool, as well as the highest speed internet available to easily handle your virtual and distance learning requirements. Between bookings, the home will be thoroughly cleaned to protect our guests from COVID-19. Bring the family for a change of scenery and let this be your home away from home. The space: Enjoy cooking on the 5 burner gas stove and grilling on the Louisiana Smoker/Grill. The living room features a 70” LCD flat screen with Bose surround sound and reclining sofa, perfect for movie night. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a full sized bed and en-suite bathroom. The front porch is enclosed and contains a convertible couch for additional recreational space. The washer and dryer are located in the basement and will be accessible for your convenience. For guests who love to cook, our kitchen is fully stocked, with anything you might need to make a fantastic meal. Make yourself at home and feel free to use the spices, oils, condiments, smoker pellets, etc. If you use a little, no problem. If you use a lot or it’s running low, please replace it. You're also welcome to use the grill, we only ask that you leave it clean and replace the smoker pellets when necessary for the next guest to enjoy. We have a detailed binder outlining everything you need to know about the house, how to make things work, and all the nearby attractions, including 11 wine tasting rooms and a draft house just a short walk away. A lockbox containing the keys is installed on the side porch, the code will be provided shortly before our arrival. Other things to note: We will be on a family RV adventure and would prefer to have one long term booking for the duration of our trip to reduce turnover. We will provide a 30% discount for stays of at least 30 days, 40% off for 60 days or more. Our dates are flexible, so we can coordinate what works best for you. Feel free to message me. The City of Sutter Creek requires homeowners to collect a 12% "transient occupancy tax" for all stays 30 days or less. Please consider booking at least 31 days to avoid this tax. Keep in mind, this is not a vacation rental property, it is our home. We don't have a lot of rules, we simply ask that our guests respect our home and treat it as if it's their own. Please take great care by using coasters, hotpads, cleaning up spills promptly, and covering the outdoor furniture when not in use. Also, please be respectful to our neighbors by keeping the noise down after 10 pm.

Large, comfortable historic home in the heart of Sutter Creek. Just steps away from some of Amador’s best tasting rooms, live music venues, shops, restaurants, and close to historic sites, and outdoor fun. Set on one of Sutter Creek’s most charming, quiet side streets, Serafina House welcomes guests with unfussy luxury, modern comforts, and special extras including a private garden and an old fashioned front porch. Our gourmet kitchen is equipped with a six-burner Viking stove, two ovens, and a pantry stocked with basics for your enjoyment. One bedroom offers a king and the other a queen-sized bed--both outfitted with luxury linens. Our sunroom offers a comfortable queen futon with a high-quality memory foam topper and luxury linens--when you let us know you have extra guests, we'll set it all up for you. Our music and sitting room has a gas fireplace, piano and a guitar as well as well-stocked bookshelves and plenty of comfy chairs. Our living room and dining rooms are spacious and comfortable. Our master bath has both a spa-sized soaking tub and large walk-in shower, and the second bath has a stall shower. We provide complimentary bath products. We also provide fast wifi, a bluetooth stereo in the music room and sunroom, plus a selection of cds. We offer complimentary coffee and teas, a selection of waters/sodas, and a bottle of our favorite local wine on check-in. Though our home is right in the historic center of Sutter Creek--with all that its famous Main Street has to offer—our small, residential street is quiet and our old fashioned porch and back yard are your private oasis. We do not offer a TV, but supply fast WiFi. This house is designed for enjoying the simple, sweet life in our beautiful small town. We'll be happy to share recommendations to help you enjoy all our area has to offer. Our place also makes a great home base for exploring Amador County, and the Hwy 88 and 49 corridors. We're very close to Amador's famous wineries, historic and recreational sites, and an easy drive up into one of the most beautiful regions of the Sierra with its unmatched hiking, skiing, fishing and kayaking/canoeing.

Sutter Creek Cottage has 2 bedrooms with luxury mattresses and home-made quilts. It is a short walk--just 2 blocks--from shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. Adjacent to Sutter Creek Cottage is a foot-bridge that crosses Sutter Creek to Minnie Provis Park. Shenandoah Valley, Amador's wine tasting region, is a short, 10-minute drive away. Local historic sites of interest include Knight Foundry (across the street), the Monteverde Store (3 blocks away), and Kennedy Mine (about 1 mile away). Sutter Creek and Amador County is a wonderful place to visit any time of the year. In the Spring, Daffodil Hill is in full bloom and Sutter Creek is at its peak for the annual Duck Race. The warm days of Summer are delightful sipping on wine on the back deck of Sutter Creek Cottage that overlooks the creek that the town is named after. Vintage cars cruise Main Street as music from live bands fills the air. Or go to one of the out door theaters to watch a play. Autumn colors are spectacular and wineries are busy with their Harvest Festivals or attend Sutter Creek's annual Blues and Brews celebration. The cottage was built in the late 1940’s and recently been remodeled to characterize its roots from the 1940’s - early 50’s. It is a quaint 1,200 square foot 2 bedroom, 1 bath house. The place is ideal for 2 couples or a family with 2-3 kids. It sleeps 4 comfortably with a futon available for a 5th person. The pine wood paneling in the living room feels cozy with a gas-burning fireplace. There are hardwood floors throughout the house and a recently remodeled bathroom with a luxurious Corian shower.
